Faced with over 1,285 foreclosure filings in 2008, a coalition of Clermont County government leaders and private sector partners formed the Clermont County Save Our Homes Task Force in March, 2009.

The Clermont County Common Pleas Court offers foreclosure mediation. Foreclosure mediation is a guided discussion process where a mediator works with the homeowner, the lender and attorneys in a pending foreclosure case to settle the matter by agreement. Click here for more information.
Ohio has been awarded $570 million from the U.S. Department of Treasury's Hardest-Hit Fund to help homeowners avoid foreclosure.
The resources will help people who haven't been able to use existing foreclosure prevention programs in the past such as unemployed homeowners. Homeowners may begin submitting applications online or over the phone on September 27, 2010 through www.savethedream.ohio.gov and 1-888-404-4674.
Fannie Mae and the U.S. Army announced support for military homeowners who are facing foreclosure.
The programs include a mortgage payment forbearance for up to six months where death or injury of an active-duty service member causes hardship for military families with a mortgage obligation. For more information about this program and others please call 1-877-MIL-4566.
